Prestbury Golf Club is situated in the beautiful Cheshire countryside just 15 miles south of Manchester on the outskirts of Macclesfield, Prestbury Golf Club is a Harry Colt classic ranked 74th in National Club Golfer magazine’s 2018 list of England’s Top 100 Courses. The course makes the most of the dramatic changes in elevation afforded by the hilly terrain. The nature of the site coupled with the sandy subsoil means that the course drains exceptionally well and, unlike many others in the area, hardly ever closes due to heavy rainfall.
The layout of the course is superb. The course utilises many of the natural elements of the land to provide a great routing and a challenge to all who play. Harry Colt was the original architect and Hawtree and Son had a hand in the development after the Second World War. More recently, the Club has employed the services of leading course architects Mackenzie and Ebert.
